Membership Information and Application
Soroptimist International of Visalia was chartered in 1939 and is a non-profit organization that has been serving women and girls since its inception. Our vision is to help women and girls have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.
The name, Soroptimist, means “Best for Women,” and that is what Soroptimist International strives to achieve, women at their best working together to help women and girls to be their best and live their dreams.
Soroptimist is an international organization for like valued women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. The Visalia club is known for its many service projects and programs, including, Live Your Dreams, Dream It Be It, and continuing to support programs and projects that address issues of violence against women.
We hope you have taken the opportunity to look at what our club does locally. Meetings: 2nd Monday at 12 noon and 4th Monday at 5:30 pm @ Left of Center, 699 W. Center Ave., Visalia. Meeting cost is $15 with meal provided.
Dues: Dues for new members are $170.00, plus a onetime fee of $25 for name badge and Soroptimist pin. Note that new member dues may be prorated (half year) if you join in the middle of the club year (the club year starts on July 1st).
Ongoing annual dues of $170 are due every June 15th. You may mail a check to our PO Box (see under About/Find Us) payable to SI Visalia, or pay by credit card below.
