VAWA Team
This committee is responsible for efforts to raise awareness, provide advocacy and offer activities regarding violence against women including domestic violence, teen dating violence, workplace violence and trafficking of women. It plans and carries out activities to support Karen’s House (Domestic Violence Shelter) and other programs that assist women in crisis.
The Soroptimist VAWA group supports the Purple Party each year. This event raises funds for Karen’s House, a domestic violence shelter.
Susan Green and Susan Onstott were lucky winners in the raffle drawings at the 2024 Purple Party - which supports our local domestic violence shelter - Karen’s House.
